My granny always tells me how important it is to have soft moisturized hands. She frowns and proceeds to scold me when they are anything but that.
Apricot oil is a good moisturizer while the sugar and lemon act as an exfoliator that leaves your hands clean, soft and smelling fresh. Lemon is also great for removing odors from your hands like onions and garlic. It is also quite effective in removing any stains on your nails and strengthens them as well.
I think my granny would definitely approve of this treatment.
Mix 115 g (4 oz) granulated sugar with a few tablespoons of apricot oil and the juice of half a lemon or lime.
Rub the mixture onto your hands and rinse with warm water.
Apply hand cream afterwards.
