THE GOOD LIFE PHILOSOPHY

Before I started this blog, I thought long and hard about what it would be called. Immediately “The Good Life” stood out. I of course had other name options on the table, options I felt made more sense than “The Good Life.”

You see I was quite uncomfortable using that title at first because when I think of the good life, it conjures up images of luxury cars, yacht parties, designer clothes and all that good stuff. Don’t get me wrong. there’s nothing wrong with all that stuff. I mean on some level we probably all wish we lived like that. However, the truth is, my life is no where near close to that and maybe neither is yours but that’s OKAY because as I pondered on the title of  this blog it dawned on me that “The Good Life” is a state of mind. Anybody can live the good life no matter what car they drive or don’t. You don’t have to have a closet choke-full of designer duds. You can slay on a budget. You don’t have to be a celebrity or famous to live a good quality life. I have come to appreciate that we  have to choose to live our best life everyday with what we have.

As long as I am doing what I love everyday, I can safely say I’m living “The Good Life.”

Let me know your thoughts. Good Life Philosophy, YAY or NAH?

How are you living the Good Life?
